The shock that amplified the gravity of the case is the identity of the suspect, Gabrielle Carrington (29), who once captured the hearts of millions when she reached the finals of the British “X Factor” show. Today, the spotlight has dimmed on Carrington, as she faces serious charges of turning her car into a weapon of murder under the influence of alcohol, prompting the British police to amend the charge from “attempted murder” to “murder,” a crime that could lead her to spend the rest of her life behind bars.
