وجاء الإنجاز بعد أن سجّل عبد الله الحمدان هدفًا حاسمًا في شباك الخليج ضمن الجولة السابعة من الدوري السعودي للمحترفين، ليمنح فريقه التعادل ويرفع سلسلة النصر التهديفية إلى 94 مباراة متتالية في الدوري. الهدف لم يكن مجرد إنقاذ للمباراة، بل كان لحظة تاريخية أنهت صمود رقم ريفر بليت الذي استمر 93 مباراة بين عامي 1936 و1939.

ولا يزال أمام النصر فرصة لتعزيز رقمه العالمي؛ إذ يحتاج إلى التسجيل في ثلاث مباريات إضافية لبلوغ 97 مباراة متتالية في مختلف المسابقات، وتحطيم الرقم الأوسع لريفر بليت الذي سجّل في 96 مباراة رسمية متتالية.
وتعود بداية سلسلة النصر إلى 8 ديسمبر 2023، عندما فاز على الرياض 4-1، بعد أيام من آخر مباراة فشل فيها في التسجيل أمام الهلال. ومنذ ذلك التاريخ، حافظ الفريق على حضوره الهجومي في كل مباراة بالدوري، حتى وصل إلى الرقم التاريخي الجديد.
أما سلسلة ريفر بليت، فامتدت بين سبتمبر 1936 ويونيو 1939، وشملت 93 مباراة في الدوري، إضافة إلى ثلاث مباريات في مسابقات الكأس، لتصل إلى 96 مواجهة متتالية هز فيها الفريق الأرجنتيني الشباك.

The achievement came after Abdullah Al-Hamdan scored a decisive goal against Al-Khaleej in the seventh round of the Saudi Professional League, giving his team a draw and raising Al-Nasr’s scoring streak to 94 consecutive matches in the league. The goal was not just a rescue for the match but a historic moment that ended the resilience of River Plate’s record, which lasted 93 matches between 1936 and 1939.
Al-Nasr had reached the 93-match barrier before facing Al-Khaleej, becoming just one goal away from breaking the world record. With Al-Hamdan’s goal, the Saudi club now holds the longest scoring streak in the history of leagues around the world, surpassing one of the most prominent attacking eras in the history of the Argentine team.
Al-Nasr still has the opportunity to enhance its world record; it needs to score in three additional matches to reach 97 consecutive matches across various competitions, breaking the broader record of River Plate, which scored in 96 consecutive official matches.
The beginning of Al-Nasr’s streak dates back to December 8, 2023, when they won against Riyadh 4-1, just days after their last match where they failed to score against Al-Hilal. Since that date, the team has maintained its attacking presence in every league match, reaching the new historic number.
As for River Plate’s streak, it extended from September 1936 to June 1939, including 93 league matches, in addition to three matches in cup competitions, totaling 96 consecutive encounters in which the Argentine team found the net.
