يستهل ممثّل الوطن فريق التعاون مشواره في دوري أبطال آسيا 2، بمواجهة مستضيفه فريق النهضة العُماني الساعة الـ7:00 مساء اليوم (الأربعاء) على استاد مجمع السلطان قابوس الرياضي بمسقط، وذلك ضمن لقاءات الجولة الأولى للمجموعة الثالثة للمسابقة.
يدخل فريق التعاون هذا اللقاء بروح معنوية عالية، بعد قرار تعيين المدرب جهاد الحسين بدلاً عن الصربي زاركو لازيتيتش، ويسعى نجوم التعاون لتحقيق الفوز والعودة بالنقاط الثلاث، بحثاً عن بداية قوية والذهاب لأبعد مما حققه الفريق في المشاركة السابقة، عندما وصل للدور نصف النهائي قبل أن يغادر بعد الخسارة من الشارقة الإماراتي.
فيما يدخل فريق النهضة العُماني هذا اللقاء، سعياً للفوز في مواجهته الأولى في البطولة والاستفادة من عاملي الأرض والجمهور، لا سيما بعد الإنجاز المحلي الذي حققه بالتتويج بكأس السلطان قابوس، ويقود الفريق هجوماً المخضرم عصام الصبحي.
في المباراة الثانية، يخوض الريان القطري مشاركته الأولى في دوري أبطال آسيا 2، بعدما كانت مشاركته الأخيرة في كأس الاتحاد الآسيوي عام 2010، إذ يستهل مشواره في دور المجموعات باستضافة الفيصلي الأردني، وصيف بطل الدوري الأردني والفائز بلقب كأس الاتحاد الآسيوي مرتين، وذلك عند الساعة 9:15 مساءً على استاد أحمد بن علي بنادي الريان.

In the second match, Al-Rayyan from Qatar makes its first appearance in the AFC Champions League 2, after its last participation in the AFC Cup in 2010. They begin their group stage journey by hosting Al-Faisaly from Jordan, the runner-up of the Jordanian league and a two-time winner of the AFC Cup, at 9:15 PM at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium of Al-Rayyan Club.
