علمت «عكاظ» أن غياب البرازيلي ويندرسون جالينو عن التشكيلة الأساسية للأهلي أمام ماميلودي صن داونز الجنوب أفريقي جاء بقرار فني من المدرب الهولندي مارينو بوسيتش، حرصاً على سلامة اللاعب وعدم المجازفة به.
وبحسب مصادر «عكاظ»، فإن جالينو تعرض لإصابة خلال مواجهة باختاكور الأوزبكي، التي انتهت بالتعادل (1-1) ضمن دوري أبطال آسيا للنخبة، واضطر إلى الحصول على حقنة مسكنة من أجل تجهيزه لمواجهة صن داونز.
وأشارت المصادر إلى أن جالينو أبدى جاهزيته للمشاركة، إلا أن بوسيتش فضّل عدم الدفع به منذ البداية، تفادياً لتفاقم الإصابة، مع إمكانية الاستعانة بخدماته وفقاً لمجريات المباراة وحالته البدنية.
وكان جالينو ضمن التشكيلة المتوقعة للمواجهة خلال التحضيرات الأخيرة، قبل أن يحسم الجهاز الفني قراره بعدم المجازفة به أساسياً في اللقاء.
It was reported by “Okaz” that the absence of Brazilian winger Wenderson Galeno from the starting lineup of Al-Ahli against South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns was a technical decision made by Dutch coach Marino Pusic, in order to ensure the player’s safety and avoid taking risks with him.
According to sources from “Okaz,” Galeno suffered an injury during the match against Uzbekistan’s Pakhtakor, which ended in a 1-1 draw in the AFC Champions League, and he had to receive a pain-relieving injection to prepare him for the match against Sundowns.
The sources indicated that Galeno expressed his readiness to participate; however, Pusic preferred not to start him in order to prevent the injury from worsening, with the possibility of utilizing his services depending on the flow of the match and his physical condition.
Galeno was part of the expected lineup for the match during the final preparations, before the coaching staff made the decision not to risk starting him in the game.
