أقر الاتحاد البرازيلي لكرة القدم خطة تدريجية لتقليص عدد اللاعبين الأجانب المسموح بمشاركتهم في مباريات الدرجتين الأولى والثانية، من 9 لاعبين حالياً إلى 5 بحلول عام 2030.
وبموجب القواعد الجديدة، ينخفض الحد إلى 8 لاعبين في 2027، ثم 7 في 2028 و6 في 2029، كما ستلزم الأندية ابتداءً من 2027 بتخصيص مقاعد للاعبين دون 23 عاماً ضمن قوائمها، ترتفع من 20 مقعداً إلى 25 بحلول 2030.
وتهدف الخطوة إلى تعزيز فرص المواهب البرازيلية الشابة، في ظل ارتفاع مشاركة اللاعبين الأجانب ومتوسط أعمار اللاعبين في البطولة إلى 28.5 عام، وأيد القرار 40 نادياً واتحاداً محلياً مقابل صوتين معارضين.
The Brazilian Football Confederation has approved a gradual plan to reduce the number of foreign players allowed to participate in matches of the first and second divisions, from 9 players currently to 5 by 2030.
Under the new rules, the limit will decrease to 8 players in 2027, then 7 in 2028 and 6 in 2029. Starting from 2027, clubs will also be required to allocate spots for players under 23 years old within their rosters, increasing from 20 spots to 25 by 2030.
This move aims to enhance opportunities for young Brazilian talents, amid the rising participation of foreign players and the average age of players in the league reaching 28.5 years. The decision was supported by 40 clubs and local federations against two opposing votes.
