أبدى مدرب الهلال سيموني إنزاغي أسفه بعد خسارة فريقه أمام نيوم، مؤكداً تحمله المسؤولية الأولى عن النتيجة، ورافضاً توجيه اللوم إلى لاعبيه، مشدداً في الوقت ذاته على أن الخسارة قد تكون درساً مهماً للفريق في مشواره خلال الموسم.
وقال إنزاغي عقب المباراة: «كانت ليلة صعبة. أتيحت لنا في الشوط الثاني خمس فرص محققة، وشاهدت تصدياً استثنائياً من حارس نيوم، لم أتخيل أن يتمكن من إبعاد الكرة بهذه الطريقة».
وأشار مدرب الهلال إلى تعدد الفرص التي سنحت لفريقه، لافتاً إلى تسديدة اصطدمت بالقائم، إلى جانب فرصة لأولي واتكينز وأخرى بالرأس لم يحالف الفريق التوفيق في استغلالها.
وأضاف: «لو نجحنا في تسجيل هدف وتقليص الفارق، ربما كانت المباراة ستتغير ويتحول مسارها، لكن يبدو أن الأمور اليوم كان مقدراً لها أن تسير بهذه الطريقة».
وأكد إنزاغي أن ذلك لا يعفي فريقه من المسؤولية، مضيفاً: «بالتأكيد لدينا أخطاؤنا ونتحمل مسؤوليتها، لكن كما قلت سابقاً، إذا قمنا بتحليل هذه الخسارة بالشكل الصحيح، فقد تكون مفيدة لنا وتعيدنا إلى الواقع».
وشدد مدرب الهلال على رفضه تحميل أي لاعب مسؤولية الخسارة، وقال: «نحن في صدارة الترتيب، وسنبقى في الصدارة بغض النظر عن نتائج هذه الجولة. لا يمكنني توجيه أصابع الاتهام إلى أي لاعب، لأنهم قدموا أقصى ما لديهم، وبعضهم شارك في مراكز غير معتادة بالنسبة له».
وتابع: «هؤلاء اللاعبون يحاولون دائماً تقديم كل ما لديهم. بالتأكيد لن ننام الليلة بسبب هذه الخسارة، وأنا المسؤول الأول عنها لأنني مدرب الفريق».
وعن الجانب الدفاعي، أقر إنزاغي بوجود بعض التفاصيل التي تحتاج إلى المزيد من العمل، مؤكداً أن الجهاز الفني سيعمل بشكل مكثف على معالجة الأخطاء وتحسين أداء الفريق في المباريات القادمة.
كما أشار إلى ضغط المباريات، موضحاً أن خوض أربع مواجهات خلال 10 أيام شكّل تحدياً للفريق، وقال: «هذا الأمر قد يتكرر مرة أخرى، ولذلك يجب أن نكون أكثر جاهزية مما كنّا عليه اليوم، وأن نعمل على تحسين جميع التفاصيل».
واختتم إنزاغي حديثه بالتأكيد على أن الخسارة -رغم قسوتها- يمكن أن تمثل نقطة مهمة في مسيرة الفريق، قائلاً: «هذه الخسارة تؤلمني، لكن إذا حللناها بالطريقة الصحيحة، فمن الممكن أن تساعدنا كثيراً في بقية مشوار الدوري.

Inzaghi said after the match: “It was a tough night. We had five clear chances in the second half, and I saw an exceptional save from the Neom goalkeeper; I never imagined he could deflect the ball that way.”
The Al Hilal coach pointed out the numerous opportunities that his team had, noting a shot that hit the post, along with a chance for Ollie Watkins and another header that the team failed to capitalize on.
He added: “If we had succeeded in scoring a goal and narrowing the gap, perhaps the match would have changed its course, but it seems that things were destined to go this way today.”
Inzaghi confirmed that this does not absolve his team of responsibility, adding: “Certainly, we have our mistakes and we take responsibility for them, but as I said before, if we analyze this loss correctly, it could be beneficial for us and bring us back to reality.”
The Al Hilal coach stressed his refusal to hold any player responsible for the loss, saying: “We are at the top of the standings, and we will remain at the top regardless of the results of this round. I cannot point fingers at any player because they gave their all, and some played in positions that are not usual for them.”
He continued: “These players always try to give everything they have. We certainly won’t sleep tonight because of this loss, and I am the one primarily responsible for it because I am the team’s coach.”
Regarding the defensive aspect, Inzaghi acknowledged that there are some details that need more work, confirming that the coaching staff will work intensively to address the mistakes and improve the team’s performance in upcoming matches.
He also pointed out the pressure of the matches, explaining that playing four encounters within 10 days posed a challenge for the team, saying: “This situation may happen again, so we need to be more prepared than we were today and work on improving all the details.”
Inzaghi concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the loss—despite its harshness—could represent an important point in the team’s journey, stating: “This loss hurts me, but if we analyze it the right way, it could help us a lot in the rest of the league.”
